People Here To Help You
When you contact us for the first time you are most likely to reach receptionist Joy Lewis.
(Pictured second from right). Joy became involved with dentistry in the early
1980's. Interested in improving services dental receptionists could offer patients she founded the Somerset Dental
Support Group which encouraged liaison between dental team members with a view to developing a greater level of patient care. Joy has studied reception and practice management skills in England and the United States and
was a finalist in the 2001 National Awards.
After Joy has welcomed
you and helped you complete any necessary paperwork she will ask dental nurse Chloe (Far left) to escort you to
the treatment room.
Chloe has special interests in cosmetic dentistry
and attends courses and seminars to increase her knowledge of the procedures and techniques used to provide high
quality care to patients. She will introduce you to dentist Philip Lewis.
Gordon Taylor (Centre) acts as Office Administrator. He's the behind-the-scenes person who carries out the essential
tasks which keep the practice running smoothly. Gordon hit the International Press recently; the story about how he got his
own teeth fixed in preparation to marry the dentist's daughter Sarah was reported all over the UK and as far afield as
India, Canada and Australia! To see the articles, ask at the practice!
Philip
(Far Right) qualified in London in 1977. He has special interests in aesthetic dentistry and postgraduate education. He writes
extensively for the dental professional press and has had articles published in England and America. He has appeared on television
and radio in his capacity of media spokesman for the British Dental Association. Philip serves on the editorial advisory
board of a national dental journal and has lectured to other dentists. His former practice achieved several clinical and patient
care accolades. In 2001 Philip was selected as a finalist in 'The Probe' national Dentist of the Year Awards. He maintains
active membership of several dental societies including: The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry, The European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Association of Advanced Facial Aesthetics.
Hygienists Mandy Monger (Second From Left) and Marie Mulhearn complete the team, providing the treatments and advice
essential to excellent dental health.
